The Grapes of Wrath...

by Don Cherry
MFHLnet

Rake is up, Grapes is ready to play.

I can't believe this, it's been too long since I've had a chance to write.

I'm fuming this week, after seeing the trades.

I'd like to take a obvious screwed up look with the Phoenix Coyotes. Damn, giving away Tkachuk for what? Two promising players, meaning Kovalev and Satan. Don't know what the thoughts where here, but it was definitely not with his team. This better pan out, or fans in Phoenix will have his head chopped off! I'm willing to bet Vinnie isn't too impressed with this idea of losing a chance at Tkachuk, to whom he's always been biting.

Are the Kings the team they use to be? Don't think so! Facing extinction, after being destroyed by the Wings. 5-0 in game day 25. Sad but true, it's going to be a rough ride for the Kings. Grapes hates to say it, but it's going to the Avs this year, with the Rangers in a close second. But don't count the Bruins out yet, or the Kings for that matter of fact.

Grapes is facing a tough decision. I have been asked by an unname owner to return to hockey and coach a team. What does this move mean for me? Blue and myself will be taking a team to the cup! No doubt about it, wonder if Bobby Orr is coming out of retire? One of the true greats in the NHL.

Speak of the best, anyone else seeing Rangers/Kings/Avs in the top scorers? Something wrong with that picture? Like I said before, dogs can still coach, perfect proof of that is the Avs. A team where you can place a dog behind the bench and they would still be winning, although I can see that about the Rangers and Kings too. Alot of talent, no coaching needed. Truly one of the greatest mysteries of the MFHL.

Devils and Marc, we need to talk! You have a chance to improve, it's not dead yet.

Looking over the draft this year, alot of promise for any teams. The draft picks will be nice to have, as well as the torture of having to choose what's best. Word has it that we could see a repeat of last seasons performance boost, like the Canes had seen when they had 7 first rounders, what a pick up for a team that was nothing but like NJ last season.

Still, the biggest change is in the Oilers. Roy between the pipes is unstoppable, nothing else to say.

This news has been quiet, watch for more postings. Been busy vacation, compliments of an MFHL owner.
